Sara Antoinette Martin is an established Tattoo Artist currently working at Eight of Swords.
Having graduated from Pratt, she’s a creative force with a background in illustration. She started off working for companies such as Mishka NYC and Kidrobot, and she's been commissioned for posters by mastodon. Her love of illustration led her directly to tattooing and has been a constant love for her ever since.
Her style is based in tradition and filtered through the eyes of someone with a love for vintage antiquities, pop culture monsters, and mythical creatures. She brings a bold line style and vibrant color palette to themes of traditional tattooing such as girl heads, nautical themes, floral work, and anything and everything halloween ( check out her candy corn bat club!!!).
Sara has given so much of her life to tattooing and it has given her so many wonderful opportunities and experiences. She has been featured in many gallery shows including events at NYC staples Last Rites and MF Gallery. It’s brought her all over the country and world, she’s done guest spots from LA to Berlin and all over in between. In 2017 she curated her first art show at MF Gallery “Handbills of Subversion” which featured artists from all mediums and creative outlets to raise money for wonderful charities including the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.
She will be available for booking at Eight of Swords Tattoo you can swing in during her work hours Wednesday through Sunday 12:00pm - 8:00pm or contact her directly.
